We are pricing out ideas for hardwood on the first floor (approximately 1,000 square feet). The house is on a slab, not sure of the subflooring in the living room (carpet now), kitchen is lanoleum... We would like to install the proper subflooring and install 2 1/4" oak hardwood floors. We would like to do unfinished and stain with "provencial" color... It's a condo, 1420 square feet. There are 1.5 baths, 1 kitchen and a fireplace. currently there is a mix of hardwood (very little), carpet, tile, and laminate. I want to redo the entire unit with hardwood. There are approximately 6 other rooms, 2 bedrooms, study, dining room, living room, sun room. We are moving into this home on May 21st - we would like to get an estimate on refinishing all floors in the upstairs. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 walk in closets, several small closets and a hallway - all about 775 sq ft There is currently carpet in all the areas except one bedroom which has a finished floor. I have pulled up the carpet and floors look good underneath. I would like to have the whole area refinished.
